Co-ed Team
All-Girl Team
The coed team consists of 22 members. They cheer at all home and away conference football games and men's & women's home basketball games. The team participates in university events and functions throughout the school year and represents the university at UCA's National Collegiate Cheerleading Championship. Since the start of a coed cheerleading team at Slippery Rock University in 1985, the cheerleading team has been raned in the top ten in the nation, winning national titles in 1986 and 1988. Most recently the 2010/11 team placed 4th in the national competition in Orlando, Florida. The team's performance was featured on the ESPN2 network.
The all-girl team consists of 24 members. They cheer hoome football games, select fall sports, and all home men's & women's basketball games. The team participates in university events and fuctions throughout the school year and represents the university at UCA's National Collegiate Cheerleading Championship. Since the start of all-girl cheerleading team in 2001, the all-girl has been ranked in the top 5 in the nation. In 2009 the team placed first! Most recently the 2011/12 team placed 2nd in the All-Girl Division II.
