Dates & Times
In order to maintain such a successful program we are looking for dedicated, hardworking and talented athletes. If you are interested in trying out for either cheerleading please complete the application and release form (located at bottom) and submit them along with a current photo to:

The tryout will begin on Saturday, May 12 at 5:00pm in Marrow Field House on the Slippery Rock University campus. Tryouts will continue to to Sunday, May 13.
There is a $20 tryout fee. Make check payable to Slippery Rock University Cheerleading.
Requirements
Listed are skills that are evaluated at the tryouts:
Coed Team - Females Only
- Interview/Questionnaire
- Cheer - taught at the tryout
- *Standing Back Handspring - required skill in order to tryout
- Standing Back Tuck
- Standing Back Handspring Tuck
- Tumbling Pass - most elite pass you can perform without a spot
- Stunting (this portion of the tryout is based on potential rather than on what you can perform because I understand that a lot of girls have never coed stunted)
Coed Team - Males

All-Girl Team
- Interview/Questionnaire

- Dance - taught at the tryout

- Standing Back Tuck

Stunts - you will tryout for a specific postion either a base, top, or back-spot (you may tryout for more than one position)
